UK diving cannot be beaten when the weather is good

I've said it before, and I'll say until the day I die, UK diving cannot be beaten when the weather is good.  Four wrecks in two days from Weymouth.  We chartered Tango for a dive with a mix of Techies and some experienced UK divers.  The UB74 is a great little Sub and a wonderful dive to get to grips with kit and such.  You can easily swim round it twice on a dive and there is LOTS to see.  Several conga's lying at the bottom of the shot to greet us, which was a pleasant surprise, though I'd forgotten to brief the group on my "Conga Dance"  so they decided I was narked and left me to it! We found several crabs and a couple of whopping great lobster.  The write ups of the UB74 make it sound like it's a multi-level dive like the M2.  Don't be fooled.  If you're diving on tables, then plan the whole of your dive for 32m and you'll be much better off. The Aeolian Sky never fails to please.  When the viz is good (we had 15m) you begin to appreciate the true majesty of this ship.  With so many nooks and crannies she is home to many wrasse, conga's, crab, lobster and tompot blenny's abound here.

There are also some wonderful swim through's for those trained to do so, but if you're not trained then please don't!  It's too easy to get disorientated and lost if you don't know how to safely penetrate a wreck.  The British Inventor provided a great dive for Sat afternoon and most of us then drifted off along the sea bed to collect some scallops for tea.  (Well, mine were cooked on the woodburner in the van, the other's hung theirs over the side to take home on the Sunday).  Sunday afternoon we took in The Black Hawk.  Always a favourite of mine and at a nice and easy 18m this is another great  wreck for beginner divers or Tec's wanting a second dive in a day.

Masses of life on here and a couple of HUGE lobster hiding under her plates.  I've seen several sunfish this year and today one was hanging around on the shot line.  My GoPro was out of battery and I didn't have my Stills camera with me, so once again, missed out on some awesome shots.  There's a John Dory who's been hanging around here the last two years and yes, I'm convinced it's the same one as he seems to
know me by name!  Always around the same spot and always inquisitive.

This wreck is like an old friend to me and I always feel like I'm coming home.
